Oops! Security blunder was ‘technical mistake’

It’s the kind of tale that makes anyone involved in online transactions shudder.
A Swedish woman logged on to the Internet last Tuesday and accessed her bank account, to pay some bills.
Lucky for her, she has a strong heart. When she checked her balance, she discovered a slight accounting mistake in her favor — to the tune of $1.1 billion (more than 10 billion kronor).
How did it get there?
She was told the deposit was a correction for a credit card purchase (that’s some kind of credit line, too!).
The next day, the dough was still in her account. A few hours later, it vanished.
A spokesperson for Norda Bank (the biggest in the Nordic region), attributed the billion-dollar blunder as “a technical mistake made by a company.”
Uh-huh. Simply a “technical mistake.”
